SkyWest plane hits LAX jetway with propeller blade
LOS ANGELES — The National Transportation Safety Board says a SkyWest Airlines plane propeller struck a boarding jetway at Los Angeles International Airport
NTSB spokesman Peter Knudson says none of the crew or 25 passengers on board the twin-engine Embraer turboprop airplane were injured Tuesday morning.
Knudson says the plane’s propeller blades hit the jetway and then struck the plane’s fuselage, but did not enter the cabin.
The Federal Aviation Administration says the plane was arriving from McClellan-Palomar airport in Carlsbad.
Knudson says a SkyWest employee directed the aircraft into the taxi area where it struck the jetway.
