Science Guy Bill Nye to headline museum opening
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — An appearance by television host Bill Nye will highlight grand opening activities for the new Terre Haute Children’s Museum.
The museum says the host of the educational PBS series “Bill Nye, the Science Guy” will put on a free demonstration Sept. 25 at the new museum in downtown Terre Haute.
Museum officials plan several activities Sept. 24-26 as it moves into a 26,000 square-foot building that is nearly nine times bigger than the old museum that was closed last month.
The new museum will include a dinosaur dig cave, a two-story tree house with telescopes and slides and a large agricultural exhibit.
