San Francisco (GaeaTimes.com) - The annual Jobbie Nooner blast will be held today on Gull Island at the north end of Lake St. Clair. The party is especially known for heavy drinking and rewarding woman with plastic beads for baring their breasts. This special party is held every year around the automakers’ vacation for model changeover.

The party was originated by a small group of automotive designers including Lee O’Dell who wanted to take co-worker, Lee Wagner, out for his birthday. One Friday they decided to blow out of work, get together on their boats & spend a good time. It has started then with only four boats & seventeen friends. But now it has became the biggest one of the summer with more than 1000 boats & 5000 people attending. It has been nicknamed the Mardi Gras of the Midwest. According to its origin the name of the party is given after contract auto employees who left the job at noon to go party on the lake.

The eligibility of attending Jobbie Nooner is being adult or 18 years of age, as the things get pretty wild big time. The local police is very much aware of party’s reputation and get ready for each year to cool down the spirits, if it’s necessary. The members of Macomb County Sheriff’s Department Marine Division also will be keeping a close watch on the party goers to make sure they’re safe. The safety of all the channels for public boating is also checked by the police. Jobbie Nooner 2010 on gull island will be a real fun. The island is located on the north side of Detroit’s Lake St. Claire. So there is no other way to reach there but to follow the boats.

Actually Jobbie Nooner is held twice every summer On Gull Island in lake St. Clair. In a nutshell it is a wild and extra ordinary day filled with risqu behavior and plenty of adult beverages.
