Taste of Charlotte festival Guide

San Francisco (GaeaTimes.com) Taste of Charlotte is a street fair that features food from many Charlotte area restaurants. The festival starts today June 11th and will last till this Sunday. This is a festival to enjoy delicious food from the local and national sponsors while strolling down the South Tryon Street. It starts from the Sixth Street to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
To buy foods like tiramisu, bbg sliders or dragon puffs, you have use coins which have to be purchased at the fair. You can also buy the coins online using debit or credit card. Bloom Grocery has presented giant inflatables for children bouncing and playing on it. Renowned chefs will be present at the Mobile Kitchen for cooking demonstrations. Blue Moon Brewing Co. will present specialty beers on Tap in the Tavern. Extensive selection of wines will be available from Twisted Wine.
All restaurants will take part in the Best of the Taste Competition. Judges will decide over 100 menu items to determine the winner. The winner of each category will be declared on Friday afternoon and the winners will receive the Silver Plater Award. The Silver Plater will be displayed in the Restaurant Booth throughout the year. Apart from the Best of the Taste Award, there will be there will be live entertainment on the center stage featuring music and belly dancing.
The intersection of Tryon and Trade Street will be closed to accommodate the setup for the fair. MLK Boulevard and Sixth Street will remain open to traffic the whole weekend.
