SHIMLA, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The weather in Himachal Pradesh has turned pleasant after a spell of fresh snowfall which has made the mercury dip by several degrees. The state was reeling under a heat wave that affected the tourism. However, after the weather changed the tourists have started flocking to it in huge numbers. Snowfall and mild shower is taking place in a number of regions in the state, as the met office has reported. The weather office has indicated that the chilly weather will prevail for some more time and more rain may be in store. Rohtang Pass is witnessing massive snowfall and the temperature has come down in the region. However, the business owners and hotel owners in Shimla are happy as the cold weather has attracted a huge number of tourists to Himachal Pradesh.
A large part of North India and Eastern India is reeling under a heat wave and with met office predicting no rain in coming future; the tourists have found Himachal to be a safe haven. The Renuka Lake, which is located in the Sirmour district of Himachal Pradesh is a major tourist hot spot. They love boating here and there are a lot of hotels and lodges in adjacent regions. The natural beauty of the state is simply breathtaking.
The recently held IPL matches have played a role in boosting the tourism in Himachal Pradesh to an extent as some people feel. The transport in the state is improving with time. With time more private airlines are also operating flights to the state. It has also made things easier for the tourists.
