Maharashtra Tourism Getting A Boost

MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The Maharashtra government will carry out an exclusive promotion for the famous Pandharpur Padayatra. This will be done as a part of the golden jubilee celebrations of the formation of Maharashtra. The pilgrimage is famous and more than a million devotees attend the ceremony in July each year. The Maharashtra Economic Development Council will focus on the Pandharpur Padayatra pilgrimage as a part of the initiative named Visit Golden Maharashtra. The government is also trying to rope in private players to boost the tourism. The pilgrimage is a colorful event which witnesses million pilgrims assembling and proceeding to the Lord Vidhoba temple. Lord Vidhoba is regarded as the presiding deity of the state. The devout pilgrims wait for this yearly event and participate eagerly to make it a success.
