MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- VFS India which is based out of Mumbai has been granted permission by the Malaysian Government to screen all visa applicants. Reportedly, VFS India (Visa Facilitation Service) will be in charge of the screening of the visa applicants to verify whether they are bona fide travelers visiting Malaysia.

VFS India happens to be the visa facilitation branch of Kuoni Travel Group. As told to the media the VFS India has plans in store to come up with nine different VFS India centers all across India. The travel group is of the opinion that such a move shall be highly beneficial to all travelers who has to face some serious hassle while they go out looking out for a visa. On the other hand VFS India shall also be able to scrap off all those travelers who get their hands on visa by illegal means.

Datuk Tan Seng Sung who happens to be the Malaysian High Commissioner to India said that both VFS India and Malaysian Tourism has always shared common thoughts on the issue and the current decision is an outcome of it. The Malaysian High Commissioner to India inaugurated the first VAC (Visa Application Center) at the Chowpatty Bandstand of Mumbai on Tuesday.

Datuk Tan Seng Sung said that he wants to establish the image of Malaysia as a “round-the-year destination” that shall be a place of attraction for each and everybody who wants to travel. That includes all businessmen, first time travelers and also the honeymooners. VFS India forms a part of the VFS Global services which operates in more than 47 nations as well as caters to 30 diplomatic mission clients.
