New York (GaeaTimes.com)- The Money Magazine has revealed its list of the best places to live in the United States and this year it is Eden Prairie in Minnesota which has acquired the top spot in the list. According to the representatives of the Money Magazine, strict standards were followed while listing the names of the places. Not only how much a city looks beautiful to the human eye, but also aspects such as safety and security, the quality of education imparted, the crime rate in the city, every one of these aspects were taken into consideration before preparing the Money Magazine’s best places to live in the United States.

The reason why Eden Prairie acquired the top spot in the Money Magazine’s best places to live was the fact that it has a much lower rate of unemployment when compared to the other places across the United States. While only 5.1% of the total of 64,000 residents in Eden Prairie are unemployed, this figure rises to more than 10% in the other places featuring on this year’s list. Adrian Peterson, the NFL running back champion who is a citizen of Minnesota says that he prefers to live in the region because of the excellent front office and practice facility of the Minnesota Vikings that is located here. Not only he, more than 500 employers also prefer to call Minnesota their home. Therefore there is no doubt about the fact that Eden Prairie is economically very prosperous.

Following shortly behind Minnesota in Money Magazine’s best places to live list is Elliot City. With a population of more than 155,000, Elliot City is the home to several good restaurants apart from the fact that its unemployment rate is also not high enough to discourage people from settling down in the place.
